This one is based on a guitar solo from a couple of years ago now. I had the keyboard riff (as played by violins here) as the main theme and I just needed a strong melody.
Being quite the 'rock god' back then I widdled all over it and created one of my favourite solos. It remained like that for a few years, until just a couple of months ago that I decided it was time to really work with that riff and bring out my new found obsession with orchestral composition. Certainly not an easy job and I'm no expert in mastering orchestras but I think it's a pretty good start.

Also featuring some of my favourite artwork I've created for my music so far!
(The fish reference came from a live recording of my old band which I had taped and put onto disc. The phrase that came to mind was A Right Load of Carp. Or along those lines anyway. Hence the fish.)

Just recently I have been going through my back catalogue of music that I wrote way back when I had just started playing and I'm surprised at just how much I wrote between 1999 and 2000. I'm trying to bring some of that back with an updated sound (originals were on tape!) but still keeping the feel of the music.
